Exhibition: the future of RAI by Yale students

Wednesday, 19 June 2024

Ten master students at the Yale School of Architecture (New Haven, Connecticut) presented inspiring proposals and architectural designs for the transformation of RAI Amsterdam and its surroundings in May 2024.

There are ambitions to make the RAI area even more valuable to all our stakeholders. These include making the RAI complex and its logistics more sustainable and modern, as well as adding functions that will make the area more liveable and attractive. At the moment we are still in the exploration phase. This means that we are mainly sharing and discussing ideas that do not yet have a formal status.

We are delighted that ten graduating master's students from the Yale School of Architecture from the US have chosen the redevelopment of the RAI as their studio project. The result of their innovative insights and architectural knowledge can be viewed this month at Entrance D of the Elicium. A brief explanation of the various designs will be given on July 10 during the neighbourhood talks & drinks event.

This exhibition is an initiative of the Yale School of Architecture, in collaboration with Isaäc Kalisvaart, Bjarne Mastenbroek and Erik Go. The models on display are purely for inspiration and not linked to the advice RAI seeks from its stakeholders.
