During the general members meeting last week the members of CLC-VECTA have appointed Bart van der Heijden, Director Clients at RAI Amsterdam, as new chairman. After his previous admission to the board of CLC-VECTA in 2021, Bart will take over the role of chair after the ending of the board term for Erik-Jan Ginjaar. Bart is a familiar face in the industry, with over 22 years of experience in varying positions at the RAI.
During the same meeting, another three board members have been appointed: Evaline van der Pluijm from Rotterdam Partners, Ruben Onderlinden from Lively, and Diederik Haitink from EA Exhibitions will join Saskia Vernooij from Ahoy Rotterdam and Pascal Riphagen from The Inside, who were appointed as board members last year.

Further expansion exhibition team
Even though Bart has introduced a powerful and enthusiastic board to the members, he has proclaimed his wish to expand the team even further. “CLC-VECTA is a large association with quite a lot of diversity. It is important that the board reflects the associations members and that those members feel represented”, says Bart van der Heijden. “Besides this, the departure of Riemer Rijpkema as director means a more active role for the board. In coming times we will work with the board and the members to give this the optimal occupancy.”
